A special workshop will be dedicated to an Introduction to the Shakuhachi, and you will be taught to start to play the oldest of all Shakuhachi pieces- KYOREI, which dates back 1,000 years. The instructor will be shakuhachi Grand-Master Ronnie Nyogetsu Reishin Seldin, who has been doing this for over 40 years and is the founder and head of KiSuiAn Shakuhachi Dojo, which is the oldest and most active place to study Shakuhachi outside Japan. He has recently moved his Wash.D.C./Baltimore branch into Wash. D.C. No experience is necessary to take this workshop and all Shakuhachi will be provided.
Space is very limited; please register in advance!
