Made by or for Slingerland, ca 1940.
Simple flat-back, bent-top mandolin of all-solid woods, spruce top, beech or birch back and sides. All original except for replacement plastic nut.
Plays easily and has a sweet, clear tone with a surprisingly rich low end. Good condition, with plenty of scuffs and scratches but no structural issues; one thoroughly and professionally repaired top crack.
Professionally reconditioned and set up with compensated bridge and guaranteed 90 days by luthier-owner for structural soundness. Cosmetically sold "as is".
A great starter mandolin with some character - way cooler than your clunky plywood imports!
