Dust off those fingers and set yourself up for success with the mandolin! Phillips will walk you through how to pick a melody and hold down the chord structure. This is a great foundation for anyone looking to go to local jams or get started with bluegrass or old-time music.
This class is geared towards adult and high school learners just getting started with the mandolin. Guitar, banjo, fiddle, and ukulele players will find this to be a good way to stretch their musical abilities. Students under the age of 16 should speak to us prior to registration.
Participants will need their own mandolin. Stop in or contact HMT for advice on choosing one, or see info on renting a mandolin.
** In case the instructor or studio need to cancel a session, a makeup session will be offered on June 6.
