Circa 1930. Handsome soprano-scale banjo-uke by one of the banjo's most famous makers and innovators, William Lange. Stenciled "Tourraine" on headstock. High quality construction and materials, quite comparable to many small-rimmed Slingerlands and Gibsons.
All original, fully reconditioned and in superb condition with 12 hex shoes, flat-hooks, sturdy tension hoop and neck brace, 16-fret maple neck and 7-inch capped rim, friction pegs. Good skin head producing loud, clear tone. Some plating loss on hooks. No structural repairs, but has been disassembled, every part cleaned and polished, set up and guaranteed 90 days for structural integrity and playability by luthier-owner. Sold cosmetically as-is. No case included.
