When asked about his favourite instruments in the store, Justin H. gave this banjo his #2 slot!
From Bob Gramann: "I like plunky open-back banjos. These sound exactly like I want a banjo to sound. They are made with a glued-up block Walnut rim with an integral Black Locust (a very hard wood) tone ring. The block rim makes a very solid foundation for the banjo's sound and tuning. The walnut armrest can be easily detached. The neck and rim are walnut, but I have used Macassar Ebony for the fingerboard since it is the most stable, long-wearing wood I can obtain for fingerboards."
12" walnut block pot with integral Black Locust tone ring. Fiberskyn head, nice wide neck (1 3/8" nut).
