Gibson TB-JR 4-string tenor banjo, 1920s. S/N 11158A-5. Recently restored and set up for Irish tuning (GDAE) by our senior luthier.
10-1/2 inch rim, double co-ordinator rod, 22 round-point L-shoes, flat hooks, grooved tension hoop, snake-head peghead, no insignia, oval label inside rim. All black, no binding, 17 frets clear, 20 total. Pearl dot position markers. Number impressed inside rim.
Repairs completed by our luthier:
- Disassemble, clean/polish all wood and metal parts, service tuners.
- Retouch finish, install mylar frosted head 10.5".
- Set up - Irish tuning: touch up frets, condition fretboard.
- Restring, adjust action, tuners, repair string nut.
- Bridge 5/8" maple/ebony.
No case is included, but we can ship safely without a case. Shipping is $50 within the continental US.
