Tenor Banjo, 17-fret Openback ca. 1930 (used)

Regular price $ 325.00

Unmarked, ca. 1930-40, possibly made by Regal or another Chicago manufacturer. Very basic but sturdy construction throughout with no structural issues. Strong rim and tension hoop. Affordable starter or travel tenor (4-string) banjo - very light and compact.

Newly refretted, thoroughly cleaned and polished, and set up with new bone nut, mylar head and good used tension tailpiece, producing strong, clear tone with perfect action.

Good friction pegs of the period. Finish and plating in fair to good condition. Strung in standard jazz/dixieland tuning (CGDA). If you want to convert to Irish tuning, this might require changing to geared tuning pegs (inquire for estimate with our luthier).

Guaranteed 90 days for structural soundness and playability by luthier-owner.

Case is not included.
