“Film Scoring - Level 1” is an interactive movie-music class for young students, ages 7-12. Students will learn to identify the emotions that are in a movie scene, and how to use music and sound to amplify those emotions. As a group, we will use both traditional and non-traditional instruments to create our own music and sound atmosphere for a scene from a popular animated film. The final class will be a group performance of the students’ film score!
This class is designed for 7 - 12 year old students. Students with and without experience playing music are welcome in this class! When registering, please include your child's name in the "special instructions" section of your order.
Note to parents: this class is designed to be taught without parents present. Our teaching room is small, but we may be able to accommodate a parent accompanying their child at class if desired. Please contact us in advance if this is of interest.
