Drawing influence from all kinds of music, DC-based cellist Carol Anne Bosco plays with a style that is eclectic and diverse.
As a classical player, she has performed in professional, school, and festival orchestras including the Arlington Symphony, Apollo Chamber Orchestra, McLean Orchestra, Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, and the University of Maryland and Florida State University Orchestras and Operas. Her studies in chamber playing have taken her as far as France, participating in festivals including the Wintergreen Summer Music Festival, Duxbury Music Festival, and the American Conservatory in Fontainebleau.
While living for a year in New Orleans, Carol Anne began experimenting with alternative styles of playing. She continues to explore and has participated in folk duos and trios, funk rock groups, amplified string quartets, traditional Irish and Scottish music ensembles, alternative rock groups, and jazz ensembles.
Carol Anne teaches all levels of classical cello with a focus on ear training and physical efficiency and dexterity.
