This Guild F-412 12-string was made in 1980 in the Westerly, RI factory. It comes to us from Grammy-winning musician Marcy Marxer, who is downsizing her instrument collection.
Jumbo body, arched back, spruce top, figured maple back & sides. 1.75" nut width.
This guitar has recently been set up with xlight strings to alleviate tension and avoid a neck reset for as long as possible. The saddle can be shaved a bit lower, the current action at the 12 fret measures 4/32''. It does play quite nicely with loads of volume. Both truss rods are working perfectly with plenty of room to move in either direction. Tuners are all moving smoothly. Frets look amazing with no visible pitting whatsoever. Bridge and neck are in great shape.
There is an installed pickup which has been tested and is functional, though we note that the bass frequencies are being picked up the loudest with the higher strings lacking in volume. Most likely an old piezo that is nearing its end.
Original hard case is included.
