Unlabeled, but probably Lyon & Healy, ca. 1925-30. Exceptional, rare, gorgeous banjolin in practically new condition. Lovely, compact, 10-inch embossed maple rim and beautiful neck with carved heel, multipart veneer backstrapping and fretboard underlays and elaborate pearl inlay.
High quality hardware: 20 L-shoes, flat hooks, grooved tension hoop and Vega-Fairbanks style ball-end nuts. Excellent nickel plating.
Thoroughly reconditioned and upgraded with fiberskyn coated mylar head and compensated bridge. No structural issues; plays perfectly. Set up with light gauge bronze-wound strings and guaranteed 90 days for structural soundness and playability by luthier-owner. With good close-fitting original hardshell case (reconditioned). A true rarity exemplifying the Golden Age of banjo making!
