Made in Madrid, Spain, ca. 1957-68. From the famous family of luthiers; nephews and successors to Domingo Esteso (1882-1937) whose instruments are favored by many top performers. Handmade in the traditional manner of Flamenco guitar: body of lighter construction and shallower than classicals, for a quick, bright and percussive response. Headstock after Esteso.
Back and sides of cypress, spruce top, mahogany neck. 25.5" (650mm) fret scale. High quality tuning machines. Professionally reconditioned with new ebony fretboard and rosewood bridge. Recent and older repairs to back and side cracks are secure and stable. Some finish restoration.
Well-worn, but in excellent playing condition and has exceptional tone. With new tweed hardshell case. 60-day guarantee from luthier-owner for structural integrity and playability. Cosmetically as-is.
