This is a 1978 Guild D-55 spruce/rosewood guitar, with under-saddle Fishman pickup installed. Though it has some significant cosmetic flaws (described below), it plays quite nicely and sounds great. Original hardshell case included.
When it came to us, it had a cracked bridge, so we had our senior luthier replace it with a Guild bridge. Setup with new saddle & Martin custom light strings was done.
There are some significant finish flaws on the back of the neck and neck binding where some kind of refinishing work may have been attempted. There are also chips in the binding, some wear on the lower bout bass side, some belt-buckle wear on the back, and some superficial finish chips/cracks here and there. The truss rod cover is also missing. There are no structural cracks or other playability issues that we could detect.
Due to the above mentioned items, we do not offer a return option on this guitar if purchased via mail order. Feel free to contact us with any questions.
