Lange Tone-King Tenor Banjo (used)

Regular price $ 598.00

19-fret resonator tenor banjo by William Lange, ca. 1925-1930. Tone-King was a brand of a large firm called NY Band Instrument Co., for whom Wm. Lange built this and other models. Quality construction and materials, handsome wood marquetry inlaid in the walnut veneered rim and resonator.

19-fret neck with pearl dot markers, 24 original flat hooks, grooved tension hoop and heavy flange. Period tension tailpiece, newer fiberskyn mylar head and planetary geared tuning machines. Original walnut arm rest.

Thoroughly reconditioned - cleaned, polished and professionally set up for Irish tuning (GDAE). Plays perfectly, great sounding. Absolutely no structural issues, good plating, a few surface scratches. Overall very good condition. Neck shows wear. Guaranteed 90 days by luthier-owner. With practically new high-quality padded soft case.
