Martin 000-28 made in 1955 (serial 146249). Brazilian rosewood back & sides, spruce top. Hard case included. Nut width is 1 11/16".
The previous owner of this guitar is a local customer of ours who has brought it in a few times over the last several years for repair work by our senior luthier (a Martin warranty-authorized repairman); now paring down their collection. Previous work included a bridge replacement, pickguard replacement, neck reset, bridge plate replacement, refret, replaced saddle and nut, patched jack hole in lower treble side, and various reglued back braces. Our luthier inspected it before we put it out for sale and deemed it in fine playing condition in its current state. Action at the 12th fret measures 5/64" on the high E, 7/64" on the low E.
Cosmetically, there are a few imperfections - most notably a couple of finish spots on the treble side - but these are not structural. There are also several indentations on the back of the neck, near the body.
