Unbranded Regal-style mandolin, ca. 1925. Bent top, oval hole. No label, but could possibly be S.S. Stewart. All mahogany body & neck, teardrop shape, black binding with white purfling top & back, inlaid pickguard, inset tuners. Cloud tailpiece cover is absent.
Our senior luthier completed the following repairs:
- level frets (file/recrown/polish)
- remove & refit added brace at bass side of soundhole (correcting previous repair which caused some top distortion)
- setup including adjusting/lubing tuners, adjust nut, lower action at bridge, remount tailpiece, restring with D'Addario EJ73.
We recommend only light or extra light strings for this mandolin.
No case is included - contact us if you would like to add a case. Shipping is $50 within the continental US.
