Vintage full-size Strad Copy violin of unknown make. Solid carved spruce top, solid carved maple two-piece back with nice curl and dot inlays. Drawn-on faux purfling is almost completely faded away, giving an austere, folksy look. There are some top cracks and a soundpost crack which have all been professionally repaired and are stable. Strung with Dominant strings, with Pirastro Gold E. Case & bow included. The bow has a stamp which we are unable to decipher, and it has a crack in the frog, though is still usable. Dampit and old shoulder pad sleeve are also included.
Loud, bright, resonant, and folksy sound. Consistent action up and down fingerboard. Light finger pressure yields nice clean, clear results.
