Supertone 5-String Banjo - Wm. Lange ca. 1910 (used)

Regular price $ 488.00

A Sears Roebuck brand, Supertone banjos were manufactured by Lange early in his banjo-making career, after buying the Buckbee factory.

Probably the entry-level "Amateur" model, a step below the "Ragtime King". Paper label inside rim is missing part where model would be listed.

Newly refinished cherry neck in good shape with pearwood fretboard, fitted with good period friction pegs by Grover, new upgrade bone 5th-string nut, maple-ebony bridge and medium-gauge steel strings. "Spun-over" wood/metal rim, 16 original hex shoes, round hooks and nuts. Newly mounted natural calfskin head.

Professionally reconditioned/set up. A nice, simple 100-year-old frailer, great for a beginner. Case not included, contact us for case options.

Shipping is $75 within the continental US.
