Supertone Mandolin, ca. 1930 (used)

Regular price $ 475.00

Well-constructed flat-back, bent-top mandolin, with striking curly maple sides, spruce top with inlaid tortoise pickguard, multi-part purfling. A Sears Roebuck brand, possibly made by Kay, Harmony or Regal. Pickguard is reminiscent of some Larsen Bros. mandolins.

Thoroughly reconditioned with added top bracing to correct distortion, a few nicks from age, no structural issues. Back and sides refinished, neck lightly overcoated, original finish top. Labeled inside.

Strong tone, good action. Original inlaid gears work fine. Very healthy and easy to play. Guaranteed 90 days by luthier-owner for structural integrity and playability. Cosmetically "as-is."
