Washburn Style 118 Bowl-Back Mandolin (used)

$ 385.00
Made ca. 1900, serial # 60983. Washburn made the Style 118 between 1896-1905. It was the second least expensive model in their line. So, while the appearance is fairly plain with just 9 rosewood and maple ribs, the Washburn quality construction is evident throughout. A larger, wider body than most bowl-backs (will not fit some hard cases). Serial number on headstock and intact paper label. Spruce top, mahogany neck, rosewood face-plate, dyed pearwood fretboard, bar frets, good original tuners, cool hinged tailpiece. Excellent condition overall. No cracks or major issues, minor chip repair at neck joint. Fully reconditioned, professionally set up and guaranteed 90 days for structural integrity and playability by luthier-owner. No case.
