West African Balafons

$ 59.00

The Balafon is a wooden xylophone with gourd resonators. They have been played in Africa since the 14th century and are thought to have originated in Mali. Tuning is usually pentatonic in nature, and pitches do not necessarily correspond to standard (A=440) Western pitches. Our balafons come from various suppliers and our current stock may be different than what is represented on this page (feel free to contact us to inquire about our current stock).

One pair of mallets is included. Oversize shipping charges may apply.
