This rare Yamaha model (circa 1972) is one of the coveted "red label" acoustics that was manufactured prior to the company's move to Taiwan later the very same year!
Despite being sold as cheap bargain-priced guitars during the 70s, these models are typically now sold for upwards of $400 because of their stunning range of rich sound, volume, and tone.
We are selling this guitar as is since it is in need of a neck reset -- however, it has been set up and restrung in-store so the action is currently in good shape.
Cosmetically, this spruce-top guitar is in very good condition; the previous owner did engrave his last name and a numbered identifier across the back of the headstock which we colored over to blend in with the mahogany back and sides. We have marked out the etchings in the pictures for the sake of keeping the previous owner's information off the internet!
Gig bag included!
