For almost 25 years, Christian Hedwitschak (bodhrán maker), Stevie Moises (tipper maker), and Rolf Wagels (shop owner, advisor, teacher, and player) have worked closely together. Throughout this time, we deliberately avoided political statements in a business context. Staying neutral felt like the right professional choice.
Given what is happening in the world today, we have reconsidered. The issues that matter to us are not about party politics. They are about basic humanity.
With the unitHED project, we are making our position visible. The colours stand for what connects us – even when we disagree, argue, and challenge each other. What we share has always been stronger than what divides us, and that is the foundation of our long-term collaboration.

Save The Rainforest Veneer
At the heart of the “UnitHED” initiative is the exceptional Rainbow veneer. This real wood veneer is offered under the SaRaiFo label. SaRaiFo stands for “Save the Rainforest” — protecting the rainforest is the core idea behind the name. SaRaiFo represents modern, sustainable wood products made from genuine, fast-growing wood species. Thanks to this manufacturing approach, it is even possible to create expressive wood grain patterns like those found in the Rainbow veneer. In this way, we help reduce pressure on tropical forests and protect valuable tree populations in the long term.

These drums use "EdlauerSelect" Premium Goatskin, which is produced and refined exclusively for Hedwitschak drums by a world leading skin manufacturer. The process is carried out in accordance with special specifications, and each skin is purposefully selected for the various CoreLine models.
The multipoint tuning system works smoothly and allows for precise, quick and easy tuning. Thanks to the skillful shaping of the inner part of the tuning rim, the hand nestles naturally into place rendering the drum very comfortable to play.
With the intricate contours and the flush to the rim skin mounting, the design of the CoreLine bodhrán demonstrates simple elegance and timelessness. The CoreLine was launched 2012 and since then it was refined and optimized permanently.
