Gold Tone Musical Instruments

Gold Tone was founded by Wayne and Robyn Rogers, all Gold Tone instruments are designed in-house by Wayne and their luthiers and they make the claim that each and every instrument is played and inspected by Robyn Rogers herself before departing for the sales floors... and being on the receiving end of those instruments, we're inclined to believe it.

Gold Tone's stated goal is to create quality instruments at reasonable prices, but here at House of Musical Traditions we're especially enamored with their fearless devotion to innovation. Giving new life to a number of intriguing instruments like the banjo-ukuleles and Weissenborns, Gold Tone seems to always be trying out something new.

Whether it's a new approach on the old five string open back banjo, or it's diving into the under served mando-cello market, Gold Tone's new catalogs are always exciting, sending our salespeople into little huddles with exclamations like "WHAT is THAT?!?! We need one."

"Better make that two."
