Lap Dulcimer - 1989 Keith Young in excellent condition.
S/N 936
This is a used Lap Dulcimer handcrafted by Keith K. Young in 1989. Doing business as Appalachian Dulcimers, Keith Young (1929-2012) became a luthier and dulcimer teacher in Annandale, VA after retiring from the US Dept. of Agriculture in 1986. He also founded the Mill Run Dulcimer band, the Greater Washington Dulcimer Disorganization and taught dulcimer building at Elkins College Augusta Days. He used recycled wood -- in the case of this instrument, walnut with a chestnut top -- and his knowledge of the instrument is reflected in its fine quality.
