Alvarez Artist Series Ukuleles, like the AU70WTCE Tenor, have been carefully designed to deliver an open sounding and responsive instrument with good projection, volume and fine tone.
All Alvarez ukes are constructed with a dovetail neck joint for optimal strength and transfer of energy between the neck and body. The bracing design is a modification on traditional fan style braces to optimize response. The response is also aided by a solid “slotted” rosewood bridge, which enhances projection and helps to make string changes easier and quicker.
The Artist Series is Alvarez' mid-range offering, with professional-level features like hand-selected solid-wood tops, proprietary FST2M bracing and a bi-level bridge, real bone nut and great quality tone woods - at a budget-conscious price.
The solid ‘A’ grade Sitka spruce tops of the '70 series are hand selected from quarter-sawn wood. This ensures consistent quality, and its no secret better instruments are made from better wood. Our tops not only look great but they are stiff and strong and finely grained. Combine this with walnut back and sides for a rolling, open tone.
