This is a rare, discontinued 12/11 dulcimer from Dusty Strings, produced for roughly 40 years by the Seattle-based manufacturer Dusty Strings. It was a wonderful little dulcimer design that Dusty Strings stopped manufacturing due to rising costs, but it is still highly regarded for its lively, resonant, and "chimey" sweet tone and remains a highly sought-after instrument on the used market.
