1927 Bacon and Day Silver Bell #2 tenor banjo in excellent condition.
s/n 23725
This one of a kind tenor banjo was built for May Singhi Breen as seen by the custom engraving on the bass side of the resonator flange (photographed). For the unfamiliar, May Singhi Breen was a a radio recording star from the 1920's through the 40's. She was also famously known as a person who popularized the ukulele during that time.
This banjo is exceptionally loud and crisp. It is currently tuned Irish but would be a fantastic jazz banjo and shows beautiful pearl inlay work as well as a gorgeous back pot.
