The Loar pays homage to instruments from the 1920’s and 30’s, an age of outstanding craftsmanship and innovative design, reviving these traditions in order to give modern players a taste of a golden age of sound at an approachable price.

Named for the famous Gibson sound engineer and master luthier Lloyd Loar, the Loar are devoted to making inexpensive reproductions of his instruments, as well as many other guitars and mandolins from this era.
