5-string tenor banjo in very good condition. Built by Dana Johnson of Kensington Concertinas in Kensington MD.
Not to be confused with a regular 5-String banjo, it is a tenor banjo with a 5th string.
It has been freshly set up and is very easy to play. It is loud and crisp and has a lovely, balanced tone. Note the crack on the side of the resonator (photographed) - this does not affect the tone and the resonator is still stable. Bridge may appear warped at a glance but was purposefully made that way and does in fact serve a purpose. It was likely an existing bridge twisted into shape using heat, then flattened to create a custom compensated bridge and capped with bone for improved resonance.
Currently tuned CGDAD, but feel free to experiment with other tunings and string gauges. Current gauges are: .42w - .30w - .20w - .14 - .10
