Michael Copeland 2006 Irish Whistle in D, Nickel in excellent condition
s/n 3760 (March 2006)
Michael Copeland tin whistles are legendary, handcrafted traditional Irish instruments that are widely considered the "holy grail" of the whistle world. Made by master craftsman Michael Copeland -- formerly operating out of Philadelphia and New Jersey -- these iconic, conical-bore whistles are no longer in commercial production, making them extremely rare, collectible, and highly sought-after by professional musicians. Because they are no longer made, this particular whistle in D is highly sought after by collectors and professional players. The nickel models are a sleeker metal variant, providing a slightly sweeter, highly responsive upper register.
