Five-string open-back banjo in very good condition.
ca. 1900-- unmarked
Basic turn-of-the-century frailer in very good condition, maker unknown. Great starter banjo with the charm of a genuine antique at a low price. Fully reconditioned and in excellent playing shape.
One-piece integral neck with no separate fretboard; some surface wear at lower positions. Wood rim originally sheathed in metal which was so degraded it was discarded. Sturdy tension hoop, 24 mostly original hooks and nuts, and calfskin head, all in good shape.
Good older friction tuners that probably replaced original violin-type pegs. Keep a small screwdriver handy to maintain peg tension!
Professionally set up and guaranteed 90 days for structural integrity and playability by luthier owner.
