4-string acoustic bass guitar, built as a prototype in 1981 by Buddy Thompson of Snake River Guitar Works in Jackson Hole, WY. We were unable to find anything on this maker online (previous owner bought it on the used market). It appears to be all-solid, with spruce top and maple back & sides. 31.5" scale length, 1 5/8" nut width. It has a passive contact pickup which has been tested and is working well. Action is a little on the high side, but still quite playable. There is some significant cosmetic wear, particularly on the top (scratches, chips and finish checking - not structural). Hard case included.
