"Gypsy Violin" 4/4 circa 1900 in very good condition.
Unlabeled, probably German-made, visually interesting folk-style violin with fancy rope purfling and shell inlay in back. Professionally reconditioned and set up to proper specs with new bridge, soundpost, ebony pegs and chin rest, reconditioned old tailpiece with floral shell and silver wire inlay. Pro Arte synthetic core strings.
Free of cracks or any major damage. One crack below bass sound hole fully professionally repaired with internal reinforcement cleats. Very nice tone over full range. Guaranteed 90 days for structural integrity and playability by luthier-owner. Sold cosmetically as is.
Tone-wise this violin leans warm, but is overall very balanced and not too loud. It is responsive and very comfortable to play with nice action.
